If your personal and financial circumstances have changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible for free school meals.
Families who become eligible now will be protected and continue to receive free meals until March 2022. Taking up this allowance can save a family budget over £400 for each child every year.
Schools also benefit, as pupils eligible for free school meals attract Pupil Premium funding of around £1000+ per pupil. This funding is guaranteed for 6 years, whether or not the pupil continues to be eligible for free school meals during that time.
During school closures, we are providing supermarket vouchers which new free school meal families are entitled to.
