Year 4 will be participating in the government’s statutory Multiplication Tables Check in June. This is an online assessment of 25 mixed tables questions which are answered in six seconds. Pupils are expected to score 25 out of 25 to meet the expected standard. In preparation for this, teachers will be encouraging children to engage with interactive programmes that mimic the process of the MTC.
The most common preparation tool that will be used is the 'Soundcheck' feature of Times Tables Rockstars.
