Gold Leaders

During the Autumn term, we asked the children about pupil leadership in school: what does it look like, how can we support and what structure should we have for our school. The children shared ideas and together created the role of Gold Leaders who will help support and run our Community Curriculum.

What will pupil leadership look like in our school?

Spring 2017

The Gold Leaders are: Lola Barrett and Eve Smith in Year 3, Dillan Watson and Ella-Rose Domleo in Year 4, Grace Bestwick and Megan Bullen in Year 5, Aleah Harrison, Demi Meakin and Alycia Johnson in Year 6. These children were nominated by their class teacher for their hard work and commitment to our Community Curriculum.

What do Gold Leaders do?

  • We support the school with achieving bronze, silver and gold awards.

  • We share silver and gold award ideas.

  • We deliver an assembly each half term to the school.

  • We help support the Sports Leaders on the playground to ensure children play safe and fair.

  • We will produce a termly newsletter to keep parents up to date with our community curriculum work.

  • We create YouTube videos to share projects on our school channel.

  • We will make links in the community for example with local churches and businesses.

  • We will help to decide gold award projects.
